South East Dental Care has been serving the community for over 1O years. Our Dental Practice is your home for all dental care at any age and for any need. Here we believe in building lifelong relationship with our patients and their family. We pride ourselves for being a patient centered practice. Our mission is simple; we are all about preventative care and pain management. We give priority to Emergency patient who are in severe pain. We allow Walk-in appointments to anyone suffering with dental Pain. We understand how helpless you can feel when you are in pain and we want to ensure you are relieved from your pain as soon as possible. We also aim to help patients reach their goals in an honest and efficient way. We keep our prices affordable to make sure that you can get the care you need without worrying about breaking the bank. Our team knows that your dental health is more than just a smile. With the latest technology, and the decades of combined experience, we provide the best care possible to all of our patients.
MEET THE TEAM
Dr. Ashraf U. Choudhury
Dr. Choudhury has been practicing dentistry since, 2008. His passion for dentistry grew very early while working as a dental assistant during his High School years. He was a dental assistant for additional years while pursuing his Undergraduate degree on Bachelor of Science in Oakland University. He then obtained his dental Degree from Howard University in 2008. After dental School Dr. Choudhury went to work with Capitol Dental at DC General Hospital for a few years. During that time he had the privilege of working with Howard University dental school faculty who helped him train in Oral Surgery, Restorative and Prosthodontics. With the confidence from his training he decided to pursue his dream of starting his own private practice. In the summer of 2009 Dr. Choudhury continued his service in the community in by starting his first practice, North West Dental Care. From the success of his first dental practice and most importantly the love and support of his patients, Dr Choudhury opened his 2nd practice in south east DC in 2015.
Dr. Tefesehet Mesfin
Dr. Mesfin graduated from University of Pennsylvania earning her bachelor’s in science in Biomedical Engineering and received her doctorate in dental surgery from Columbia University. She then continued on a Post Doctorate general practice residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in New York City where she was able to gain experience in all facets of dentist, including oral surgery, root canal treatments, crowns and bridges.
Dr. Mesfin is committed to service and excellence. She keeps up with current dental advancements by attending several continuing education courses. She has provided pro-bono dental services domestically and internationally in Ethiopia, Philippines, Cambodia and Guatemala. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA).
In her free time, she loves to travel, do indoor cycling and spending time with friends and family.
